HAEHNE sponsors University-Racing

HAEHNE supports the motivated team of HAWKS Racing at the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg.

For the optimization and testing of their race cars the university racers repeatedly require measurement equipment. As of now HAEHNE contributes force measurement bolts for tests in order to optimize the coupling and drives-train.

With the force measurement bolt KMB-A the real forces in the differential-holders will be measured, as this far only assumptions were made. By measuring the forces there can be carried out a possible weight optimization for the next season.

Furthermore, the clutch would be controlled based on the measured data. By the known forces in the differential-holders, the applied torque in the drivetrain (drive chain) can be determined. With the counter-torque of the tires (friction), the clutch can so be optimally adjusted.

The pictures below show how the measuring load pin should be integrated into the new car. On the right side you can see the engine block where the differential-holders are screwed. On the left side you can see the chain drive which is connected with the differential (yellow).
