A compressive force is a force that acts perpendicularly on a surface. This pressure generating force can be measured using pressure load cells. With a suitable construction of the sensor, for example as a compression body, the compressive force that is elastic and deforming the sensor can be determined well. You can imagine that a force acts on a sensor from two sides, so that it is pressed together.
