Strain gauges
Strain gauges are used to detect changes in shape on the surface of components. The strain gauges consist of a carrier material with a metal foil applied in a grid. They change their electrical resistance even when they are slightly deformed (stretched or compressed). The strain gauges are glued to components with a special adhesive that deform under load (force, pressure, tension, weight). These components can be finished force measurement or web tension sensors from our program or a part from your machine. HAEHNE applies strain gauges to your machine part, turning it into a "measuring machine element".
